Light box material

LINTEL Light boxes are unique lighted up boxes of lights inside them. They are basically little boxes that offer an organized and colorful way to present pictures, designs or any kind of graphics people want in a visual fancy style. Light boxes are a common tool used in stores, schools and art display. We can always use different materials for these light boxes but remember each comes with its positive and negative aspects so work carefully. The most popular ones are acrylic, polycarbonate and PETG. Light boxes are often made from an Acrylic, which is a type of plastic. The versatility of the molding: It is possible with an easy shape which makes it popular. It is incredibly durable as well making it very hard wearing. This durability also positions it as a wise pick for light boxes that are going to be transported or utilized frequently. But there are some minuses as well. Acrylic is more likely to scratch than glass and it might sort of turn slightly less clear over time depending on how you handle them. Acrylic can also break if hit hard and should be treated gently.

Which Light Box Material Should You Choose?

Polycarbonate is also a type of plastic that is used for light boxes. This stuff is known to be a lot tougher than acrylic, so it will take bumps and knocks that little bit better. This strength is why polycarbonate makes for a great material on light boxes that will see the outdoors or used more as they can take damage better. But there is a compromise: Polycarbonate is also often more expensive than acrylic. Meaning, if you're on a budget then this is something to think about. Info: PETG (another type of plastic for light boxes) This material is of clear strong type and so it provides good rate to resist breaking, scratching etc. One of the best parts about PETG in addition to its resistance and flexibility is that it can also be recycled hence environmentally friendly. Nevertheless, PETG like polycarbonate can be more expensive than other materials so it may not fit in with everyone.
